Information for Parents: What we offer your child.
Individualized Programs

Green Pastures sees each child as a unique gift to the home and endeavors to offer care which ministers to the whole child, not just their physical needs. In addition to basic care, Green Pastures offers activities, challenges, and guidance tailored to the needs and personality of the individual child.

Schooling outside the home is available for each child. The most appropriate school program is selected, and transportation arranged by our Program Coordinator.

A Home Program is developed for each child by our Program Coordinator, incorporating our own goals, the family’s goals, those of the school, and the child's own personal goals for occupational and physical therapy and scholastic development.

Tutoring is provided as needed, behavioral objectives and rewards are established, and specialized equipment is designed and built with the help and expertise of local therapists, staff, or volunteers.

Parental Involvement

  • Families are invited to spend time at Green Pastures with their child.
  • Parents are notified of major school and medical conferences, and are encouraged to attend.
  • Children go home for weekends and holidays as often as possible.
  • Families are kept updated on significant development in their child's skills, goals, and needs.
  • Parental support and training by our staff is available if desired.
